I am always on the hunt for things I have not tried before-- interesting food and drink. The Frog & The Peach is exactly my vibe. I went alone and sat at the bar, where Alonzo took care of me. I ordered a Rum and Done (so delicious) and the red snapper entree. Highly recommend both. However, the best part of my visit was the staff that took care of me during my visit. I felt welcomed and appreciated, even as a party of 1. Alonzo at the bar was very attentive and I enjoyed watching an expert at work. Waverly was hosting when I arrived but she seemed to be wearing many hats and made sure that my food was coming out on time. I overheard the wait staff at the bar discussing a drink that a customer was dissatisfied with. I nudged my way into the conversation to ask if I could try it. Alejandro poured me a taste and spoke about the drink at length before I tasted it. When I indicated my satisfaction, he poured me a little more. Alejandro also wanted to make sure I got enough broth in my entree (I did). I hope that anyone who chooses to visit The Frog & The Peach has the same lovely experience as I did with Alonzo, Waverly, and Alejandro.

We had Sunday brunch at The Frog & The Peach. We were seated in the Garden Room. It's just lovely! January is chilly but we were quite comfortable. The service was a team approach. It was fine. The food was amazing! We started with the hash brown poutine. No picture because my husband did in immediately. It was so good! I had the lobster eggs Benedict. OMG! I was practically purring. My husband had the French toast with toasted marshmallow and peanut butter. Amazing. We had the chocolate truffle for dessert. Delicious! Looking forward to a return to try more.

This has been a favorite of mine especially for corporate dinners. Beautiful interior with extremely well trained staff. The drinks, appetizers or mains all are well portioned and delicious. I have always preferred seafood over meats. This time had halibut with crab meat topping, octopus with noodles as appetizer and Neapolitan dessert with banana ice cream. Everything here is made to perfection and tastes just as right, this was my third visit through work.

Picked the place for a business lunch. It's tucked in at the end of a block and the street is permit parking only. They have a small parking lot if you are lucky. I like the old timer bar and the dark dining room. We were there on a sunny day so the sunroom was the perfect setting. The service is very professional and the menu is interesting. We were having a hard time deciding what to get and when we heard the lunch special we immediately jumped on the specials. From the dishes we had (2 apps, 2 main, and 2 deserts) it seems anything you order could not go wrong. I enjoyed my dining experience very much. But it was a business lunch so I couldn't get the full vibe. Would be happy to return and explore more.

Once an old industrial building that housed printing presses, and also a leather suitcase handle factory, this space was gutted and made into a fine dining establishment that has since been regarded as one of the "Top 30 Restaurants in NJ". It's tucked away on a small cul-de-sac and it always surprises me how different it feels from the busy streets of New Brunswick. Having dined here when my son graduated middle school, I thought it would be special to celebrate his college graduation here as well. There are many different rooms. The inside is much darker and offers a sexier vibe and the garden is surrounded by greenery & bright natural light even on a dark rainy day. We ordered two apps: - Half Shell Fishers Island Oysters (with "Bloody Mary" Gazpacho) - Cured Tuna Sashimi Entrees: - Pan Seared Halibut (companion complained about the small portion so I didn't asked to take a bite, lol) - Tamarind Glazed Duck Confit (my son said it was more like a duck salad) I had the New Jersey Sea Scallops. I liked that it was not seared. It had a translucent look. It came with Baby Bok Choy, blistered Shishito peppers, avocado, toasted Nori with a pickled ginger emulsion. Need I say more? I was wowed by the baby pink sauce. I absolutely loved the plump scallops. Dessert: Having done many school reports about Napoléon, my son had to choose the Crème de Muscade Napoléon which came with banana ice cream. Service is on a whole other level. Excuse my etiquette but I had used some of the utensils for things we shouldn't have. Ex: I used a spoon to taste the "Bloody Mary" Gazpacho that came with the raw oysters. I see the guy slowly zooming in on all our utensils with his Eagle eyes to see which has been used and replacing them before the next course came. Not necessary but it shows their attention to detail. Zagat recommended for decades, come check out the husband and wife duo chefs who changes up the menu seasonally. Valet Parking Available

There's a reason Frog and the Peach is a staple in New Brunswick while everything is constantly changing. If you need elegance, ambiance, a gorgeous bar and a menu that can spark a foodie's imagination, Frog and the Peach steps up to the plate. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and welcoming thoroughly explaining the chef's specials. His recommendations were taken seriously and helped the table make decisions. My party ordered lamb, steak with a butternut squash tamale and halibut. Each plate made with pride. There are multiple areas to dine in, so take advantage of the views. The Florida room looked perfect to through a shower of some sort. Absolutely would return and if you can, use their valet service.

Consistency gets a bad rap as most new(ish) restaurants are all about turning the dial to 11 on atmosphere and experience that only a restaurant consultant could love. New Brunswick stalwart The Frog & The Peach has a different idea that has endured decades. Provide a refined, low key atmosphere where service and an excellent menu prevail without piped in crowd noise and an insufferable cocktail menu that would intimidate a Big Pharma chemist. I'm a duck man myself so TF&TP is fine dining central and exudes bespoke excellence every time that has no interest in chasing fads. An enduring five stars.

TLDR: Service and atmosphere are amazing. The food has its hits and misses. We went for a member of our party's birthday. After making our reservation the restaurant called us so they could deliver a card to our birthday person. It was the cutest hand drawn card. The waiter that served us was exceptionally friendly. I changed my order (in a moment of indecision) after placing it, and the waiter was happy to make the change. The waitstaff overall was very attentive and friendly, and made the experience a delight. The room we sat in was similar to a greenhouse. It was brightly lit and was filled with plants and decorations. With heated ceilings and floors it would be a cozy space on a snowy day. Most of the food was great. The oysters were fresh with good accompaniments; the flatbread was well cooked and had fresh toppings; the sweet potato fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. However the burger, though perfectly cooked, was a bit under seasoned and lacking in flavor. The experience at The Frog and The Peach was great, and I'll assume that the burger was just off on the day. I would definitely go back to try it again. For now I'll give them the benefit of doubt and re assess this review when I return.
